Founder and former owner of the Savoy theater, teacher, and author Rick Winston will present "Classical Scores for Classic Films" Saturday, just after lunch at the Savoy Theater. Often some of our favorite films have been enhanced by the use of classical music, such as "Fanny and Alexander" (Schumann), "Howards End" (Beethoven), "Barry Lyndon" (Schubert), and "Brief Encounter" (Rachmaninoff). We'll see clips from these and twelve other films that feature Mozart, Bach, Britten. and others. This talk is just 27 short days before the Green Mountain Film Festival begins at the Savoy. Grab some popcorn and enjoy this Deep Dive in the main theater. Admission is $10-$30 per person. All ages welcome.
